Crow's Nest Catering
Thank you for considering the Crow’s Nest for your special catering event.  The Crow’s
Nest has had a reputation for providing fine food and professional service for many years in
northern Michigan.  The Crow’s Nest's unique style of food presentation, and professional
looking and trained staff has always given our customers lasting memories on special
occasions.  The owners Bob and Ann Vala hope the following will give you the information to
create a party full of these great memories.  The following is also a guideline but we are not
limited to only the ideas here.  We encourage you to custom design your party with your own
ideas.  Our chefs are up on the latest food trends, so if you don’t see it on our menus please
inquire and we will do our best to create the items you wish.
Rentals

We will work with your local rental company to help order everything needed from tables, chairs, plates, glasses, flatware, dance floors, tents,
chafing dishes and everything in between. In our area, Taylor Rental is the company we highly recommend.  Their phone number is
231-347-1840.  Rentals will be billed directly to you from the company.
Payment

The Crow’s Nest will accept a $250 deposit to secure the date of your party; this can be paid by check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or
Discover). Checks should be made out to the Crow's Nest. The day of your function we will collect for the decided food portion of your party,
any miscellaneous charges, and any gratuity you might feel the staff has earned. The service portion of your bill will follow a few days later and
should be paid upon receipt.  
Bar Service

We will work with your local party store to help order everything needed for a complete beverage service.  The Crow’s Nest can also provide the
beer, wine, and ice for your party.  Locally the Crow’s Nest recommends Gurney's Bottle Shop in Harbor Springs (phone number 231-526-
5472).  All beverages will be billed directly to you from the company.  The Crow’s Nest will provide, at no charge, all bar supplies i.e.. Lemons,
limes, cherries, beverage napkins, picks and straws.  The following is a categorized list of recommended beverages:

Service

The Crow’s Nest will provide you with professionally trained and meticulously dressed servers, bartenders, and chefs.  This service will be billed
to you at a rate of $35 per hour for bartenders, chefs, cooks, servers and service captains. Employees will arrive before the event for set-up and
stay after your guests leave for clean up. On departure, your home will be vacuumed or swept and grounds picked up and will be as clean as
when they arrived.  You will be billed from the time the employee arrives at the restaurant and till they are done at the restaurant.  There is a drop
off fee for food just delivered with no service; this will depend on distance from the restaurant and logistics. There is also a prep fee for parties
under 20 guests; this fee will depend on complexity of menu.  A recommended gratuity will be added to the food part of your bill.  The number of
employees to plan for will depend on the levels of service and the logistics of the function. Bob will make recommendations where necessary.
