OUR STORY
It all began more than 50 years ago....

The Crow's Nest has been serving Northern Michigan for more than 50 years. It was originally the home of residents Andy and Sophie Wrona. In 1953 they transformed their house into the Crow Bar.

 

Chef and owner Bob Vala received his culinary degree at the Culinary Institute of America. He graduated in 1987 and has fine tuned his skills to highlight northern Michigan's vast array of ingredients.  Fresh Lake Perch, Salmon, and local morels are just a few fresh ingredients Chef Bob loves to work with. 

 

The Crow's Nest has become one of the area's premier caterers. We specialize in unique menus that are tailored to any customers needs. We also have a catering liquor license  which allows us to order any specialty wine, beer, or liquor needs for your event. Our licensed knowledgeable staff will make any event distinctive. 

 

Located one and a half miles from the Tunnel of Trees we are a great destination restaurant.  At the Crow's Nest we value our farm to table fresh ingredients and a one of a kind up north atmosphere.If you are traveling in,  summer, spring, winter or fall we have  a menu designed to show you what being "Up North" feels like.
